The WorldAuth Operator Standard, the specifications on /docs, is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. Implement it, fork it, redistribute it, sell things built on it. The conformance kit is published under the MIT licence. Neither grants any right to use the WorldAuth name or marks, or to describe an implementation as certified unless it is.

• The sandbox is for trying the protocol. Value in it is synthetic. Nothing you lock, release or refund there moves money, and you must not represent that it does.
• A key is yours to use within its allowance. Do not share it, sell it, or use several to evade a limit.
• The intent endpoint reads pages you name. You are responsible for having the right to read them, for honouring their terms, and for what you do with the result. We refuse private addresses, robots.txt disallows and known challenge pages; we will not defeat bot detection on your behalf and you must not attempt to make us.
• Do not point the endpoint at a site to harm it. Repeated reads of one origin beyond the published rate limits, or any attempt to route around them, ends the key.
• We may suspend a key that is being used to attack a third party, without notice, and will tell you afterwards.

The sandbox and the free tier are provided as they are, with no commitment about availability. Paid tiers carry the commitments defined on /status and nothing beyond them. Our total liability to you for anything arising from the free tier or the sandbox is nil; for a paid tier it is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

The measurements on /evidence are observations of public homepages on stated dates using a published method. They are not statements about any company’s products, APIs, portals or competence. If you are named and believe a row is wrong, the correction route is on /contact.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. A pilot or an enterprise engagement is governed by its own written contract, which takes precedence over this page where the two differ.
